On the 15th and 16th of May 2012 EMRAX standard (liquid and air cooled) and EMRAX UHP (liquid cooled) motors were tested in Siemens company (Munich, Germany). We also tested EMRAX light (9kg),which was made as a prototype for Solar Plane Sunseeker Duo.
We are very satisfied with the results. Siemens company has the best test bench and equipement, so we were able to run our motors on much higher RPM/torque, than before, because they have enough high DC voltage/amps (max 600 Vdc). Motors achieved peak power close to 100 kW. Efficiency at continuous power and different rotation was mostly from 93% to 96% (it depended on the rotation and torque). Maximal measured torque was 235Nm on UHP motor. Eaven we know that EMRAX motors can achieve close to 300Nm peak torque eaven UHP type more, we couldn't go on higher torque because the oposite Siemens machine have limited torque on 235Nm. Any way we have got very high power at higher rotation.
For example EMRAX standard LC: 90kW/4500RPM/190Nm - the motor efficiency was 91%. All tests were made by Siemens water coolled controller - switching frequency was 8 kHz.
We will prepare some additional PDF test data and some graphic representation which will included measurements from all tests which we have made with our electric airplane, than in company Piktronik, also we have got many good results from our customers who bought our motors.
